Pre-Netflix Grishaverse Tag

aaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH, yup, I am still screaming over the news! Okay! Not! Really! More like I still tear up. Happy?

I swore to the gods, I was up on about my life when a friend texted me, saying “May news grabe.” followed by “Shadow and Bone daw Netflix”.  And replied an hour or so later without malice “Totoo ba dapat six of crows”. Hahaha

Basically, friend over here says, “Shadow and Bone will be turned into a Netflix show”, me, on the other hand, replied: “really, it should have been Six of Crows”. Then I saw that Six of Crows is included in the said adaptation. Resulting in a major Continue reading “Pre-Netflix Grishaverse Tag”

Zodiac Sign Book Tag

Once upon a time Kerri of Kerri The Book Belle tagged me to do the Zodiac Sign Tag. Months after the tag I have finally caught up. And did it. I had limited myself to the books I have read this year alone. Based on my answers from my 2018 reads! Not necessarily released in 2018 rather books that I read this year. The result was nostalgic and fun.

And after reading this you should go and subscribe to Kerri in her vlog. And yes, this tag is originally made by Kerri and from BookTube. If you may too, the questions are really interesting! I bet y’all would have fun doing it too…

Let’s go!

Aries: Aries is the warrior of the zodiac. Name your favorite “strong female character.”

Henri from The Oremere Chronicles, actually, no, there is more than one female character here that is holy gobsmackingly amazing! It’s really good. From the concept of the magic they have in this fantasy world to the intricate details of the world building, and yes, to the drop of characterization, well Henri most especially. I say her. And it has two books now. And the second time around was a blessing! I can’t wait for the 3rd one.

Heart of Mist (The Oremere Chronicles, #1)      Reign of Mist (The Oremere Chronicles, #2)

Taurus: Taurus is known for loving the finer things in life. What food/drink from a book would you like to try?

Delight (Happiness, #1)

From Delight by Moras Dela Paz, one can tell from the cover that it has baking things going on. And I know I can get these baked goods from a bakery out there or some bakeshop in the metro. But I really am curious how great Serena’s are. Looking at it now makes my mouth water. Continue reading “Zodiac Sign Book Tag”

Book Tag | Stranger Things

It’s October, spooky and creepy things are lurking in the shadows!

What fitting way to add in the celebration of Halloween? The Stranger Things Book Tag, of course! I have enjoyed the Netflix Original Series and spotted this one from Literary Jen. Here I am.

A Spark of White Fire (The Celestial Trilogy #1)

“And as the minutes tick down, the pieces move into place.

Here are Kaya’s 11 Questions:

    1. Dark, milk, or white chocolate?

All of the above? I am a chocolate candy type of person than ice cream. I am up for all of these depending on the mood or availability.

    2.  What’s the prettiest book you own?

I feel so attacked by this question. Stuck in a dilemma of “I can’t pick from my shelves or I can’t answer because I do not own it yet”.

To answer quickly my copies of The Wrath and The Dawn & The Rose and The Dagger recently arrived and they are freaking gorgeous. I now name them my prettiest book I own.

In case you’re wondering this version: Continue reading “Liebster Award”

Book Tag | What’s on My Bookshelf

Passed by this tag on Beach Bookworm. I am not tagged but there’s a strong force that says “do it”. Here we are…

4. Tag at least 5 people.

A Library Book

The closest thing I got from a library is a library copy my aunt got me from Auckland. Technically ex-copy now, it was sold there and got me NOS4A by Jon Hill and Stronger Than You Know by Jolene Perry.

Both are copies were like at NZ $1.00 it was a steal. And both are still unread I’m afraid.

Book Tag | Unforgettable Bookish Memories

I spotted this intriguing tag at Aurora Librialis‘. And yes, go stop by there too. Check that blog out!

I was a late bloomer when it comes to reading. I even thought of not overcoming it. I even cried about it. My mom bought lots of book for me to read. That kind of books where words are like one or two syllables in it, you know for starters.

This was my first book. The first I’ve ever read. And I kept it. May it hard to believe, it is still with me. And it is called See Oh, See.

Pokemon: Gotta Catch ‘Em All!
The author you need every book from.

A difficult question I am going with my feelings of “at the moment” and say…

Leigh Bardugo

A queen, I stan.

Book that connected you with your best friend.

My great gods and goddesses, I formed a deeper friendship with my best friend through Percy Jackson Books by Rick Riordan! We were such a goof then. I think we still are. Whenever I see her or our other friends we kind of still call ourselves the character names from that series. And still, argue over who’s who.
